It’s all about garage & chilled out dubstep this Thursday! Starting the evening off at Halcyon for the Bless Up! radio show from 6-7pm then crossing the river to continue the vibes over at Fat Buddha from 8-10pm. If you’ve never been, Fat Buddha is on Avenue A btwn 13th & 14th streets in the east village and has some of the best Asian bar nibbles around! I recommend the salt & pepper squid and the flank don

Coming to the end of a year always brings a sense of review and for some, relief…whatever goals we might have set & met we can celebrate & aim higher or try again next year with the knowledge of having done our best in 2011.
It’s been a great year for bass musik and I’m excited about what may be coming up in 2012. Personally, my tastes have grown and expanded to other areas of this style and I’ve enjoyed exploring the spectrum of sounds that come with this genre. To summarize where my head is at now, I’ve put together a holiday mix, “Cause & Effect” – maybe it’ll inspire you to go a bit deeper too 
Other than that, I’ve been steadily toiling away at a couple of tunes that I hope to have ready for when it starts warming up again – something to look forward to!

October’s been a crazy month – so many good bass musik parties! Brooklyn’s definitely been blowing up with some amazing guests at Darkroom…Skream & Benga did a surprise visit @ Yotel with a great DJ set & now Nero will be in town this week at Webster Hall…madness!
As the air gets colder though, I’ve been focusing more on chilled out beats, minimal instrumentals & lush layers – new mix time! Also, on November 17th I’ll be throwing down some drum & bass at National Underground for ladies night @ One Love = all vinyl goodness. It doesn’t get much better than that
